Students returning from Wuhan undergo a daily medical examination
The Ministry of Health confirmed that up to now, no cases have been recorded among students returning from China, indicating that they will be subjected to medical supervision for 20 days, and that at present they will not allow their families to visit them until they are guaranteed not to carry the Coronavirus.
In this context, Mahdi Al-Balouti, the regional director of the Ministry of Health in the region of Fez Meknes, said that the examination was conducted for returning students and samples were taken to perform laboratory analyzes whose results have not been reached until now, beneficial that they will be subjected daily and twice a day to a medical examination until ensuring their safety for twenty Days.
The regional official said: “Up to now, most of the arrivals are in good health,” adding that the measures taken are within the framework of “taking caution and caution”, noting that they are subject to “observation inside the hospital while respecting their full freedom.”
Al-Balouti indicated that “it was decided not to contact families during the current days, while informing them in the future of the visit deadlines,” stressing that contact with their members will be made by the hospital administration.
Al-Balouti highlights that up to 167 students have been divided between the military hospital in Rabat and the Sidi Said hospital in Meknes; 90 students and students, including two families, have finally arrived, the first of which concerns a Moroccan married to a Chinese with two children, and the second of which concerns a student married with a pregnant Chinese.
It is reported that, in front of the worsening of the situation in the Chinese Republic, especially the city of Wuhan, King Mohammed VI intervened to direct his instructions to the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to work to evacuate the Moroccans residing there, and to ensure their return in good conditions to the homeland.
The king also gave instructions and orders to the authorities in the Kingdom to work to take the necessary measures in airports, ports and hospitals to prevent the arrival of the disease, where health monitoring was activated to prevent its spread.
The Ministry of Health tried to reassure Moroccans by confirming that “no case of this disease has been registered in our country,” noting that it will continue to regularly inform citizens of the health status of returning people, and the epidemiological status of the virus.
